Making a Difference

Mid-December 2020 – A little over 2 weeks until we kiss 2020 goodbye.

What have you learned about yourself this year? It, in many respects, has been one of the most challenging for me.

I have had to examine my beliefs on many things and learn how to listen harder, with more compassion, to find common ground with people I might have initially felt had nothing in common with me.

Sometimes, I had to start with the most basic commonalities; we all have a mother; we all have a father. That’s getting pretty basic. Usually, once I had that common ground in my head, I could progress to other commonalities.

Once we see what we have in common, we can be on our way to understanding another point of view.

I formed Money With Mission after being a real estate investor for over 15 years. I had invested in several traditional real estate investments, single-family houses, apartment complexes, and resorts. I was getting a return on investment but not experiencing the feelings that I wanted.

It took a while for me to realize that the feeling that I wanted was the feeling that I get when I help a patient come to a realization about their health. That sense of accomplishment, success, is not associated with money. It is making a difference in someone’s life. A big difference.

Money with Mission has become my vehicle for achieving the goal of getting investors a financial return and making a difference.

The feeling that I want to experience is what I get when I see my investors achieving their goals, getting what they want from their money. Helping them get there. I love that feeling, I crave that feeling, and I work hard to get it. It only comes from helping my investors get what they desire.

I am starting a new fund after the first of the year, Making a Difference Fund One. The fund’s goal is to invest in projects that make a difference in communities and help investors reach their financial goals. We will invest in real estate and business, working with seasoned managers. I am currently interviewing project managers for some pretty exciting projects.

There is much to do in this world, and it is up to each of us to do our part however possible. If you are also interested in making a difference, I hope to be a part of your efforts.

To learn more about the fund, complete the very brief questionnaire on our website, and let’s talk. Let’s fly into 2021 with extremely high expectations for the good that we can do.

Remember to listen to the Money with Mission Podcast for your weekly inspiration. Hear how others invest and maybe find an investment that inspires you to make a difference in a new way.
